Wilmslow - Around the Library

Wilmslow Library

The library. On the left you can just see Romany's caravan...

Romany's Caravan

Romany's caravan (aka a "vardo"). This belonged to the noted broadcaster and naturalist the Rev George Bramwell Evens (aka Evans) and featured in his popular broadcasts on '"Children's Hour" during the second world war, under the name of "Romany".

Romany's Caravan

It is open to the public on the 2nd Saturday of each month from May to September for about 3 hours around noon.

Wilmslow Car Park

Beyond the caravan and trees in the previous photo is one of Wilmslow's leafy car parks.

And this is Sainsbury's car park on a wet day. You can see the rear of Hooper's in the background.
