No longer an innkeepers traditional 'pub grub' restaurant, the Merlin has been done up to a bistro type place with prices to match. Extended menu with more options but with poshed up fish and chips (no longer a whale of a fish) at £10.50 (and a small portion of chips) being the cheapest main course it can't be called a good value restaurant option anymore despite the fish being beautifully cooked.
