It is a photo of two redwood trees taken looking straight up. I put the camera on the ground instead of bothering with a tripod. One of the trees casts a deep shadow across the foliage. Taken on ISO25 film so the web pic doesn't quite have the detail of the original....

I think it's in the Redwood National Park in the far north of California.
