This is one of the two spots where you get a clear view over the Edge and across Cheshire to the Pennines beyond (clear days permitting!). In this photo you can just about see Stockport's large white buildings in the distance. Aircraft heading into manchester track across just above the skyline before alarmingly disappearing into the trees to land. |
